Four jailed after crack cocaine bust in Waynesville, MissouriFour Missouri area residents are being held in the Pulaski County, Missouri Jail after a drug raid over the weekend.
What started as an investigation by Waynesville, Missouri Police Department ended up as a successful joint operation by the Waynesville, Missouri Police and the Pulaski County, Missouri Sheriffs Department and four people in the Pulaski County, Missouri Jail.
Saturday night, Waynesville, Missouri officers were working a drug investigation, which led to two residences outside Waynesville, Missouri. They contacted Pulaski County, Missouri Sheriff J.T. Roberts and Missouri officers from both departments followed up the investigation.
Information received indicated that a male suspect had been out of state and was to return with several pounds of cocaine and crack cocaine. Efforts to arrest the individual as he returned with the drugs failed and Missouri officers then proceeded to "make a purchase" of crack cocaine from the suspect.
According to Missouri authorities, during the purchase, the suspect told the Missouri LANEG officer that he was heavily armed and would kill the first Missouri police officer that came to his house and that he'd been told that Missouri police had been watching him. Fearing for the safety of the Missouri officers, a "no-knock" search warrant was obtained and the Pulaski County, Missouri Special Response Team was put in use. Shortly after midnight. a 40-year-old male suspect and three female suspects from Waynesville, Missouri were arrested without incident and are currently being held in the Pulaski County, Missouri Jail, pending the filing of criminal charges today. Several weapons were seized, and a search of the Missouri residence was conducted and 18 ounces of crack cocaine was seized along with other drug paraphernalia.
Investigation is continuing by Waynesville, Missouri Police, Lake Area Narcotics Task Force, and Pulaski County, Missouri Sheriffs Department.
